Monday Mischief #4 - No court in the land would convict me
Big dog people often exclaim that Mr. N is not afraid of anything when they see him playing with bigger dogs. Which isn't technically true but he is overflowing with self-esteem. I took this photo after he frightened a Doberman into hiding behind her owner and tried to eat two pieces of fried chicken and a grape.
He only tries to eat food objects and will leave it when told. It gets problematic when he finds something before I do and I have to pry it out of his mouth. He has an excellent nose for finding food on the sidewalk. So far he has found a strip of bacon, a chocolate doughnut, and chicken bones about a half dozen times.
I told him to sit in the box and think about his sins but he doesn't look very repentant.

The majority of children who meet Mr. N have no idea whatsoever how to greet dogs properly. They run up to him yelling "puppy" ...
Oh Mr N! You got into timeout :/
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't in there for very long but I don't know if it did any good.
DeleteNo, he doesn't look repentant at all...he looks a little like a rebellious teenager :)
ReplyDeleteI think of him more as a hyper toddler but he definitely has that teenage defiant look going in this picture.
DeleteLol. That look! My guys find stuff on the sidewalk all the time to eat, it drives me crazy and I always try and spot it before them!
ReplyDeleteHe has an expressive face.
DeleteSomeone left a strip of bacon on the sidewalk?!? That's ... that's ... so wrong! That's a cute little face, though. And I'm with SlimDoggy - definitely rebellious teen.

I know! My best guess is it fell out of someone's burger because I can't fathom throwing bacon away any other way.
DeleteUh oh....trouble in terrier land.
ReplyDeleteTerriers are always trouble!
DeleteLook up Terrier Tough in the dictionary and this is the picture you'll find...we terriers may be small in size but we have the hearts of lions
ReplyDeleteSmall but mighty.
DeleteOur dog does the same thing. We have to watch her very closely on the walks because she always goes for stuff. It's tough when they see the food before we do.
ReplyDeleteI know and they're so good at it.
DeleteWe call Brychwyn "t-bone" sometimes because he always seems to find one on the ground when we're on walks. Wilhelm found a whole hot dog at a street fair this summer but only swallowed half before I pried it our of his mouth. A weiner dog eating a weiner is just too funny to be mad at though, right?
ReplyDeleteHmm... does that make Wilhelm a cannibal?
DeleteLOL he looks like he is plotting his next find!
ReplyDeleteHe is always plotting!
DeleteLOL, no - he doesn't look repentant at all. He looks like he thinks *you* have sinned! :)
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a beagle, and the world was her smorgasbord. I had to constantly be on the lookout for food (well, "food", I should say) tossed aside because she would wolf stuff down. I never realized before getting her how much food people drop!
Who are all these people who "drop" chicken bones?
Deleteoh my! what a look he's giving you! BOL so cute.
