I first encountered Dogs N Pawz when I was looking for ways to promote foster pup Onyxx. Lisa runs a weekly adoption blog hop, "Tuesday's Tails." She started the hop in April in hopes of helping find shelter animals find their forever homes and her hop posts are dedicated to her dog (grand-dog?), Princess Phe who she lost earlier this year.
So I've decided to pick some of my favorite Phe stories from Lisa's blog. To Phe, a dog who could always be counted on for some Monday Mischief!
- We all have those why on earth would you do that moments with our dogs (or most of us do anyway). Mine was when Onyxx chewed up our baseboard and then ate the baseboard filler. What did Phe get into? A fly trap.
- And then she destroyed the laptop charger.
- Plus ate these darling cookies.
- After seeing what Phe did to this couch, I don't really know if I can complain about Onyxx anymore.
I just read Lisa's lovely farewell to Phe and now my face is wet. Darn onions. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely idea for you to dedicate your post to Phe stories since they inspired Lisa to start the Tuesday blog hop.
Thanks so much for your kind and generous words and for joining the Pet Blogger's Gift Exchange.
It's always the onions. Thanks for hosting!
DeleteThis made me cry! I miss her so much and I still shed a few tears everyday when I think about her. Thank you for keeping her memory alive. She was quite a mess and she kept me full of Monday Mischief stories! I miss her so very much. RIP Princess Phe!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it! Phe sounds like she was quite some dog!
DeleteAwwww, what a sweet gift for Lisa! My throat is choked-up. I understand how she feels -- don't most of us?! -- my Kissy went to the Rainbow Bridge 10 years and 1 month ago today and I STILL have tearful moments at times when I look at her picture or remember little things she did to make me smile or laugh.
ReplyDeleteI'm adding your blog to my list of blogs to start following this year! Come visit Callie, Shadow, Ducky, and me too.
Mr. N is my first dog so I haven't had to experience that yet... but not looking forward to it! Thanks for adding my blog. I'll check out your blog.
DeleteWhat a lovely post, and so sweet of you to honor Phe. I haven't been reading Lisa's blog for very long, so didn't know some of those old stories. Phe was a character, and it's great to read happy stories about her.

Thanks. It was fun reading over those old stories.
DeletePhe was a beautiful dog! :) Thanks for sharing more info about Dogs N Paws, I didn't realize they had a bloghop for trying to promote dogs available for adoption. I'm going to have to join that hop!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I'm concentrating my energies on Onyxx for now but we might join the hop again after he gets adopted.
DeleteSo kind of you to share Phe's memorial for Lisa. Phe was a sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I didn't start reading her blog until after she passed but she sounds like she was a character.
DeleteWe loved following the adventures of Phe. I know Lisa is heart broken over her loss. What a lovely gift you just gave her.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It seemed fitting.
DeleteI remember some of those posts. Very sad stuff. I got to meet Lisa last week! So exciting! And see the couch that Phe ate. She and her dogs are just ADORABLE.

You saw the couch! I can't even imagine how I would react if the dogs ate the couch.
DeleteWhat a lovely post - and an especially touching and generous gift for Lisa. Thank you so much for joining the exchange this year!
