Visiting Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market overflows with people during summer weekends so Mr. N rode in his carrier for most of our visit and was carried for the rest. It was entirely too busy to let him walk on the floor. I wouldn't recommend it during the busy times (summer and weekends) for dogs that are not exceptionally good with crowds (and won't mind getting stepped on!).

Mr. N got a tiny nibble of the famous Beecher's cheese. I recommend their grilled cheese sandwiches.

There are tons of booths featuring produce, food and crafted items and of course their famous fish stands. Mr. N's nose got a major work out. He especially enjoyed sniffing the fish stands.

If they had a dog-themed one, I would seriously have thought about buying one.
There were some buskers with a very calm dog who mostly napped.

Where have your dogs gone on vacation?

  4. Looks like a fun market and great they allow dogs, sometimes places like that won't.

  5. Looks like a great spot and I'd love to visit. Unfortunately, Kilo would hate all the strangers. I have taken him to our local market and he loves the park area but not the crowds. Have a great weekend.

  6. Barley would love all of the great smells there, too, I'm sure! I'm not sure what a mini donut cat is, but I would have had a hard time resisting the white one with the pink nose ;)

  8. That looks exciting and full of interesting smells. We find that caravanning suits a small terrier well.

  9. That looks like a fun place with so much to see! Unfortunately our dogs don't do that well in busy places, they get a bit nervous.

    1. Mr. N doesn't appreciate being in such close proximity to potentially get stepped on but he loves watching it from above.

  10. That looks like a really happening place to be! I love the cat donuts. :) The street music looks like was pretty good too, judging by the tip "jar." Stand up bass is a really fun instrument.

  12. That looks like a very cool place to go! The little donut cats were so cute! We are getting ready to go on a trip to the mountains of TN to hike a trail I've been wanting to do for a long time. We will be bringing 2 dogs. :-)

  13. What a fun place. We're not super great with people so we don't do those things, but it looks really cool!

  14. We don't get to travel like a lot of our woofie friends. How exciting to be able to go out to new places and meet people. We do like those little donut cats!

  15. We loved Seattle, especially Pike Place Market but we didn't bring our dogs. We usually bring them just about everywhere with us though. Our favorite vacations with our dogs have been to Sedona, AZ.

  17. Sounds like a wonderful day! I briefly considered taking my Maltese to the antique show yesterday, but I didn't think she'd really enjoy herself since it was a little hot.

  18. That's one cool market, I couldn't imagine how much of a nose workout that really is.

  19. Looks like a lot of fun! I try to do as many local dog friendly events as possible but there aren't many. So we go to local parks and things instead. Our most recent vacation was BlogPaws. Hehe

  21. So much fun! I am always a little nervous to take them to places unless I know explicitly that they are dog friendly but they love to go places with us!
