The majority of children who meet Mr. N have no idea whatsoever how to greet dogs properly. They run up to him yelling "puppy" ...
You do look ready to happily attack anyone who doesn't belong. You have that small dog, big personality look.
ReplyDeleteHe takes his job very seriously.
DeleteHi Mr. N, Looks like you found the perfect rock to take in the sites!
ReplyDeleteHe likes having a view.
DeleteThat is such a beautiful area - made only more wonderful by the presence of the glorious Mr. N!!
ReplyDeleteHave you been there?
DeleteBeautiful picture!! You're such an amazing model! Always ready!!
ReplyDeleteHe likes being picture perfect.
DeleteWe have a Japanese garden near our home! You've just reminded me. I shall go for a walk there later today!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Enjoy your walk.
DeleteMr. N is feelin' the Zen! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely picture! I'm jealous it's so green there--we've had a really dry summer so nothing is as green as it usually is here!
ReplyDeleteI think it had some help lol...
DeleteYou guys seriously find the BEST locations for photo opps!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We have a lot of beautiful spots here.
DeleteLove the Japanese gardens! It's awesome that pets are allowed in so many locations in Portland. I can't say the same for Denver...
ReplyDeleteThis was actually in Seattle but yes, both places are pretty dog-friendly. I would have thought Denver would be too?
DeleteA work of art. Could be a statue. :)
ReplyDeleteA furry statue.
DeleteThere has never been a cuter little garden gnome on earth!
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
Haha. I think he sees himself as a very fierce garden gnome...
DeleteYou really are a super model Mr. N. Keep up the great photos and adventures.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he likes posing!
DeleteThere is something special about Japanese gardens. The whole thought and reasoning behind them is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI have a nice little story. When Nemo our fospice care cat came to stay, I remember everyone made him welcome, all the cats. It felt as though they flowed around him like the finely raked gravel in Japanese formal gardens - caring but giving him space just to be. He was speial, and maybe not here for long, but got the utmost respect for the others.
That's a lovely way to put it.
DeletePS. Mr N, as always, looks utterly charming and poised!
ReplyDeleteWe bet that's the cutest statue in the place! :)
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
They didn't have any other ones so definitely!
DeleteThe Tao of Mr. N! You always find really beautiful spots for photo ops. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell he goes everywhere so there's bound to be a few spots lol.
DeleteYou look like a very handsome garden ornament standing guard. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I should make him wear a gnome hat next time.
DeleteDo you put him on rocks or does he climb up there?
ReplyDeleteAbout half and half. He posed himself on a different rock and refused to move until we took his picture!
DeleteYou look quite happy up there! You definitely add to the charm of the garden!
ReplyDeleteHe likes being up high.
DeleteBeautiful! All that green makes us desert dwellers utterly jealous. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt was a big transition for us when we went to Arizona for sure.
DeleteWhat a beautiful garden. We love to see the places you visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoy them!
DeleteMr. N. Wonderful pic and it looks so peaceful and tranquil there :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so adorable!
ReplyDeleteLooks so peaceful! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Japanese gardens, they're so lovely & serene. Mr. N looks very stern taking his Guardian duties seriously ( but still cute while doing it!)
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
It's hard trying to pull off stern and cue at the same time!
DeleteThe garden is protected!
ReplyDeleteMr. N practiced his fierce face.
DeleteWow! That's cool you got to go! The Portland one doesn't allow dogs!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pic!
ReplyDeleteNice job Mr N - nothing will get past you on guard duty.
ReplyDeleteConstant vigilance!
DeleteThat is one of my absolute favorite places in Oregon (if you're at the formal gardens up by the zoo, that is). I need to get back up there!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
This is actually in Seattle. The one in Portland doesn't allow dogs!
