Canine Running Style

Mr. N is part bunny so when he runs, he bunny hops.

Soaring is also a viable option.

How does your dog run? Do they trot or gallop or sprint?

  1. Khloee gallops when we're playing with toys in the house. She definitely sprints when we're outside though! And boy is she fast!

  2. He's so cute!

Zoe likes to leap as she's running, so she'll be running and then bounce in the air. Also if you look up "podenco hunting" on youtube, they do the exact same thing as they run through the fields! BOING!!!

  5. Love seeing you "fly!" Have a wonderful weekend! :)

  6. We zoom, sometimes we fly a little bit and if we are hunting, we pounce in our run like cats. Love your airborne shots!

  7. My Maltese, Nelly, soars occasionally, but mostly she trots. Theo, our Puggle, has 2 speeds: walk and sprint (but only to chase a squirrel). Sophie has lots of different gaits.

  9. that last photo of "soaring" is darling!! Dakota soars, races and he also prances, the prancing is due to his show dog lineage I think!

  10. LOL I think my huskies do all of the above! Trot, run, sprint, and however else they can get somewhere fast!

  11. Pierre is our rocket dog! Bentley feel that slow and steady will win the race, although he can run fast when the mood strikes him.

  12. Barley prances whens he runs. It's almost like her feet don't even touch the ground. Mr. N almost makes running look fun ;)

  13. Nala has a long, pretty trot or canter--but she does a lot of bouncing, leaping, and zooming, too, especially if we're playing or she's chasing prey that's overhead! I love seeing Mr. N levitate!

  14. Aw, that's a cute way of running, Mr. N! My girl Missy sprints, and her brother Buzz gallops ;-)

  15. We sprint pretty often. If we're not in a hurry, we generally trot. And if there is a bunny; watch out because then we race!

  16. These photos are so cute! I love how these two interact. Mr. N is super cute when he runs. My kitties don't really choose bouncing or soaring when they run. They are pretty stealthy, like furry ninjas. :)

  17. Wow, Mr. N sure looks fast! He looks like he's flying and his paws don't even hit the ground!
Luke bounds like a deer. Cricket can run pretty fast too, more of a scurrying, but she has a hard time keeping up with Luke and his long legs!
